Peacefully at Highview Rest Home, Dunedin on Friday 26 April 2013; aged 87 years.

Loved Auntie of Christine Lock, Leith Friend, Richard Cocks and Heather Brooks, Bill and Robbie Uru and David and Beverly Uru. Loved Great-Auntie of Martin Lock and the late Marina Lock; Niky Clegg-Friend; Louise, David, Lisa and John Cocks; Storm and Jade Uru; Alana, Jessica and Bridget Uru.

Daughter of the late Henare Whakatau Uru MP and Gladys Uru; sister of the late Eileen Catherine (Kata), John (Hoani), and Henare ("K") Whakatau Uru (Killed in Action) and sister-in-law of Margaret Uru.

Her funeral will be held in the Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 12.30pm on Friday May 3 with burial following at Dunedin Cemetery.
