On July 21, 2013, suddenly at his home in Tomahawk; aged 75 years.

Dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Mark and Nicky, Jay and Robbie. Loved Grandad to Jeremy, Max, and Lola. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Drew and Ann, Jocelyn and David, Brendon and Debbie and the late Nigel and Gail and a loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for Barrie will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3pm on Friday July 26, followed by private cremation.
