On Friday May 2, 2014, passed away peacefully at Montecillo Veteran's Home and Hospital.

Dearly loved wife of Avis, loved father and father-in-law of Lynette (Gold Coast), Ross, Denise, Debbie and Michael Collins (Albany, WA), Vicki and Allan Reay (Northern Territory), Anne-Marie and Peter Reeve, and loved Grandad of Timothy, Kevin, Kelly, Nikki, and Morgan. Dearly loved step-dad of Karen and John Hawkins (Christchurch), Gerald and Judith Forbes, Lawrie and Sarndra Forbes, loved Grandad of Nicholas, Hamish, Jacob, Christopher, Emily, Jonathan, and Alexander.

A service for Ray will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12:30pm on Friday May 9, followed by private cremation.
