Grove, Yvonne Mary (Hill)

On Wednesday, March 9 2016 Yvonne peacefully passed away at Mary Potter Hospice, aged 77 years in the company of Micheal and Lydia.

Much loved wife to Daniel for 54 years, loved mother of Cassandra and Nicholas, mother in law to Lydia, grandmother to Taylor and Tobias. Loved sister to Louis, Patrick (deceased), Gerard and Michael. Particular thanks to her caregiver Vicky.

Yvonne died from motor nurone disease complications after 10 months of illness.

Yvonne spent her life dedicated to helping and caring for others. She was a teacher of special ability and talent helping thousands of children over her 40 year career predominantly at St Marks Church School from 1980 to 1995 and as the Director of Kip McGrath Education Centres Tawa, Ngaio, Johnsonville and Karori 1995 until October 2014. She encouraged and enabled children to succeed in education.

She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Motor Nurone Disease Association and Mary Potter Hospice for the care and support they provided.

Yvonne's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Hill St, Thorndon, Wellington on Saturday, March 19 2016 at 2:00pm, followed by private cremation.
