HITCHCOX, Jean - On Saturday 10th September at Ultimate Care Maupuia, previously of Raumati Beach, aged 95 years.

She was a fiercely loyal, devoted Mum and best friend of Kathy, a wonderful Mother-in-law of Trevor and the best Nana in the world to Sam. Jean was an amazing sister and support to the late Betty. She was a great friend of Judith and Bill and we thank you both for your loving friendship.

Jean was admired, loved and respected by all that knew her and led a happy, healthy and independent life until recently when sudden ill health caused her to need regular care.

We are indebted to the loving care that enabled her to live in her own home for so long and we especially wish to thank Sue, Lynne and Kay for their exceptional support. Our thanks to the staff at Wellington Hospital and Ultimate Care Maupuia who treated Mum with such dignity and respect.

In accordance with Mum's wishes a private cremation has taken place.
