- On December 10th 2016 peacefully at North Shore Hospice. Aged 81 years.

Dearly loved husband of Helen, Loved father and father-in-law of Sophia, Paul and Tracy, and George. Much loved Papou of Jessica, Jordan, and Yazzie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Sophie and Olga. Loved by his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations to North Shore Hospice 33-1129 Takapuna 0740 Auckland.

In accordance with Michael's wishes a private family service was held in Wellington.
