The family are devastated to announce the sudden passing of our lovely Alf at the young age of 71.
He was surrounded by aroha when passing. He was the adored partner and soulmate of Maria.
Much loved by his former partner Trish as she was by him. Loved so much by his children Ange, Dave and Jeremy; he was so incredibly proud of them.
Cherished Poppy to his many grandchildren, Joré, Shafan, Amon, Tupono, Rakaia, Andvari, Freyja, Valhalla, Valkyrie and Kyra who brought so much joy and happiness to his life. Respected son-in-law of Johanna and Thuan and papa-in-law to Amanda, Tash and Zac.
Son of Ray and Norma. Brother of Bob, Colleen and Margie. He was also lucky to be an uncle to his many nephews and nieces.
Alf’s life was one big adventure, which was filled with whanau, the many beautiful friends he had, and workmates he shared his life with. He will leave a big hole in the lives of those he loved and who loved him.
Alf was a kind and generous man, he was happy, loved life and had a wicked sense of humour.
Alf had a really strong work ethic and challenged the norms. His intellect drew many people which led to many great debates and discussions although it was hard to get the last word in.

The farewell celebration will be held on Friday 23 February at 2.00 p.m at Toitu Poneke community and sports centre, Kilbirnie Crescent, Kilbirnie, Wellington.
