Dearly loved partner of Sharlene.
Loved father and father-in-law of Graham and Tania, Sharrie and Brent.
Loved Grandad of Vicky and Travis, Stephanie, and Ethan and loved great Grandad of Cooper, Eleanor, and Alexander. Loved and respected ‘Rowie’ to Sharlene’s family.
Loved brother of Heather, and the late Graham, and Midge and a loved brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Kahukura Palliative Care Service, P.O. Box 96, Masterton 5840 would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Rowie will be held at the Martinborough Fire Station on Friday 30th November 2018 at 1.00pm followed by burial at the Martinborough Lawn Cemetery. Messages to the Nelson family C/- P.O. Sharlene, together with Graham and Tania, Sharrie and Brent and their families wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who supported them during Rowie’s recent illness and at the time of his passing.
A special thanks to Dr Steve Philip, Martinborough Medical Staff, and the Kahukura Palliative Care Team for their care; to the Martinborough Fire Brigade members for their fitting tribute; and to all who travelled from near and far to be with us at this time.
We will always remember the comfort we received from the lovely personal messages of sympathy, cards, letters, flowers, food, phone calls, visits, tributes, and the presence of so many at the service. Please accept this as a personal acknowledgement.
