Battah, Christine Mabel Peacefully on March 25th 2007 whilst surrounded by family, Christian song and prayer at Wesleyhaven Hospital, Naenae. Aged 58 years.
Dearly loved mum to Don and James (and all their friends).
Loving wife to Sam for 30 years.
Loved and adored as mother-in-law to Lynda.
Most preciously loved Grandma to Michael, Elora, baby Toby and their cousin Sam who all breathed more life into her, where no doctor believed it possible.
Loved, cared for and saved by in-laws Shirley, Sussana, Nikki, Laurel and the late Andrew Hooper.
Christine has been dearly loved and cherished by all her extended family and friends in the USA and Australia.
Heaven's gain with no more pain, yet sadly missed - "we grieve, but not as those without hope." 1Thess 4:13.
Our family offers special appreciation and thanks to staff at Hutt Hospital (especially ICU and CCU), the care and support of Te Omanga Hospice and the wonderful family of Wesleyhaven (especially Kahlia and Nadine).
In lieu of flowers (though Christine loved flowers) to also express appreciation for such care and to help others, donations to one of these care providers would be greatly appreciated and may be left in the Chapel Foyer.
Messages and tributes may be posted in Christine's tribute book on this site or sent C\- PO Box 44-176, Lower Hutt.
Friend's are invited to attend Christine's funeral service at Harbour City Funeral Home, 22 Pretoria Street, Lower Hutt, on Thursday 29th March 2007 at 1:00pm to be followed by private cremation.
