WALSH, Tom:
Suddenly taken from us on Saturday 28 August 2021, aged 19. Dearly loved son of Sally Aylward and Gavin Walsh. Loved brother of Mia Walsh who is heartbroken to not be able to attend Tom's service. Precious Tuakana to Luke Walsh. Loved grandson of Eileen and Brian Aylward (both RIP); and Dawn (RIP) and Gordon Walsh.
Loved cousin and nephew to his immediate and wider whanau.
Tom has touched many lives and will be sorely missed by his close mates and the connections he had with St Patrick’s College (Town), Tawa Rugby Club and the wider Wellington Rugby and Sporting communities.
Sectare Fidem
Tom will be sadly missed by all who knew him in his career as an apprentice electrician.
A service to celebrate Tom’s life, led by Fr Pat Brophy SM will be held on Saturday 4 September 2021, commencing at 11:00am. Due to Level 3 Covid 19 restrictions, the whanau ask that family and friends join the service via livestream, and the link is: https://vimeo.com/596274765/6e4a8a20f7
Please leave your tributes here in Tom’s tribute book or email them to Tangitom051@gmail.com
The whanau want to thank the many people who have expressed their aroha, prayers and support at this time, it is greatly appreciated and in time the whanau will be able to personally express their gratitude.
Many people have reached out to the whanau to offer koha. The whanau would like it known that your love and thoughts are more than enough. However for those that do wish to make a koha the details are below:
Account name: Tom’s Tangi
Account number: 38-9008-0147438-05
The family would prefer that any koha be deposited with the following information.
Particulars: First name
Code: Surname
Reference: Cell phone number
Following Tom's service he will be cremated here in Wellington.
When lockdown restrictions allow, we hope to hold a memorial service for Tom where we can come together to celebrate his life. In addition to this, when Tom’s sister Mia returns from Canada later on in the year, we will hold an interment of Tom's ashes at Okato Cemetery. Tom’s Taranaki family and friends will be welcome to attend this celebration of Tom’s life.
