GRIGGS, Betty Margaret (nee Payne)

On 24 October 2021 at Malvina Major Retirement Village, aged 88.

Much loved wife of the late Russell Griggs and loved partner of the late Harold Hemming.

Loved mother and mother-in-law of Kim and Simon.

Much loved grandmother of Charlotte and Ruby.

A fellow planespotter with Jonathan and a keen fan of Tegan’s baking and building.

Loved sister of the late June, Brian and Jennifer and Robin and Cathy.

Loved sister-in-law of Des and Joan, Lance and Rose, Joy and Ron, Lois and Keith and Keith and Mary.

A much loved cousin and auntie of the extended Payne/Johnstone clan and Griggs family.

Friend for 45 years to her Rotorua neighbours, Colleen and Russell Smith, and the Thompson whanau.
A mate of the Bigwood family.

Thanks to the staff at Kenepuru Ward 4 and Malvina Major for their kind care of Betty.

A commemoration of Betty’s life will be held at the Guardian Funeral Home chapel, 4 Moorefield Road, Johnsonville, on Saturday 30 October at 10am, followed by a private cremation.

Betty’s service will be live streamed via her page at www.tributes.co.nz.
