DIAMOND, Ellen Margaret (Our Duchess) – On August 18, 2007 peacefully in the presence of her family whom she so loved. In her 89th year.

Eldest daughter of the late Jack and Mary Slater (Johnsonville). Dearly loved wife of the late Tom. Dearly loved and cherished mother of Judy and Brian Love (Rongotea), Mary and John Williamson (Carterton) and the late Warren Joslin, Carol and Ray Wood (Carterton), Pauline and Maurice Tregurtha (Carterton), Mervyn and Julie (Pauatahanui), Lindsay and Gail (Whitby), Peter and Sonja (Carterton), Phyllis and Colin Gulliver (Whitby), and Marion and Barry Stannard (Carterton). Dearly loved Nana of her twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. A much loved sister, aunty and great-aunty to so many.

In lieu of flowers donations to Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated and may be posted to PO Box 121, Masterton or left at the service.

A Funeral Service for “Our Duchess” will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Road, Carterton on Wednesday August 22, 2007 at 11.30am followed by private cremation.
