Robieson, Roy (Robbie) Struan. Service No 675108 NZ Army – K Force 22/9/1953 – 3/8/1955.

Formerly of Karori, Waikanae and Martinborough. Passed away peacefully early hours of Sunday 13 March at Huntleigh Home and Hospital Karori, Wellington. Age 89. One month short of his 90th birthday 14 April.

Dearly loved and supportive husband of Anna, father of Josephine, Juliet and William. Son in law of the late Wallace and Teriana Nilsen Bluff. Loved family member to my relations and close family friend to all in the South Island. Extended family member of Ken, Maria, Alison, Tony, Keith, Neil and Lorraine and Anthony Wairama Hastings. Brother of Anne McNickle, Island Bay Wellington, Vernon and Beth, Neville and Cara (deceased). Loved uncle of Stephanie Dyer (Melbourne), special grandad to granddaughter Yuna Kim (South Korea). Well Respected Member of Wellington Korea Veterans and Karori RSA branch.

My very special thanks to Kay Poynton, Michelle Tebbutt, Bernadine MacKenzie, Michaela O’Sullivan, Wellington Free Ambulance Staff, Staff at Wellington Hospital Ward 6 East, Gabrielle, Mereana, Susan and Paul Simcox, DMC Team and all the staff at Huntleigh Rest Home and Hospital especially Athena, Alden, Sheen and Caroline who cared for Robbie.

A service to celebrate the life of Robbie will be held at The Karori Main Chapel, Karori, Wellington on Thursday 17 March at 2:00 pm thereafter private cremation.

At the family’s request Robbie’s funeral is open to vaccinated people only and vaccine passes must be shown upon arrival. Numbers able to attend are limited and you will need to ‘Register to Attend’ this funeral via the blue Register button at the bottom of this notice.
