WATERS, Edna (nee Morgan)

Passed away on Monday, 4th July 2022, peacefully at Vincentian Home and Hospital, Berhampore, Wellington, aged 96 years.

Born in Barrow-in-Furness, England on 14th September 1925.

Edna arrived in New Zealand on the SS Rangitoto with her husband and young family in 1957.

Dearly loved wife of the late William (Bill) Waters.

Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Sue & Bruce, Lizzie & James, Kathy & Joe, David & Claire.

Treasured grandmother of 9 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 9 great grandchildren.

Loved by her extended family in the United Kingdom.

Special thanks to the Vincentian Home staff who cared for Edna over the last 2 and a half years. Your support has been greatly appreciated.

Edna’s funeral service will be held at St Aidan’s Anglican Church, 89 Miramar Avenue, Miramar, Wellington on Saturday, 9th July 2022 at 11:00am, followed by a private cremation.

For those not able to attend, Edna’s funeral service will be live streamed with access via the link above.
