Gilbert, Grant Stephen - The family are saddened to announce that Grant (63) passed away on the 11th February 2023, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Much loved and adored partner of Tracey, & “dad” to Izzy.
Much loved son of Geoff (deceased) & Joy Gilbert; loved brother of Megan, Warren & Pauline (both deceased).
Respected by Tracey’s brother, Paul; brother in law of Grant Cannell & Leanne Gilbert; cherished Uncle of Rebekah, Sean & Frankie Perry, London; Simon Cannell and Eryn Street, Wellington; Shari Gilbert and Shannon Ryan, New Plymouth, and Casey Gilbert and Liam Foreman, Palmerston North.

As per Grant’s wishes a private family ceremony was held on 14 February.

The family would love you to join them in a celebration of Grant’s life to be held at The Pines, The Esplanade, Houghton Bay on Sunday March 12th from 2-6pm, all welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington Free Ambulance or Wellington Coast Guard would be preferred.

Tracey would like to thank those who have shown love and support to the family at this difficult time.

In the words of Winnie the Pooh- “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”
