On the 9th of June we lost a wonderful, witty, intelligent woman. The world will be a lesser place without her in it. It's hard to think of a story about Pat that's not too rude. She was the mistress of the double entendre. Pat was an amazing cook and gardener. She could open any fridge and rustle up a gourmet meal for any amount of people. She was always there for a bit of advice when you were having a bad day and you could be sure that her dark sense of humour would make an appearance. We will all miss her in our lives but hopefully over a glass or two of wine we will tell stories about our lives with her and she will continue to be a presence.
Rest easy Mum.
Pat is survived by her children Nerissa, Leigh, Rhys and Caitlin. Her grandchildren Alexander, Eli, Orla, Adam, Hope, Ella, Ash, Solomon, Edward and Annabelle and her great grandchild Isla.
A party was had to celebrate her life and her ashes will be scattered at a later date with family.
We would like to thank Masterton Hospital and the Kahukura Palliative Care team for all their wonderful and caring people that did everything imaginable to get us through this short battle.
