SCOTNEY Agnes Isabel (Nan)

13/4/1916 - 10/1/2008 (suddenly) at Hokitika, aged 91.

Daughter of John Henry and Eliza Jane Stewart; youngest sister of the late Alec (m.Irene), Marjorie (m. Malcolm Mouat), Douglas (m.Eva), Jack (m.Marion), Ann (m. Stace Hill), and Gordon (m.Geraldine); wife of the late Bonk Scotney; Aunt of the Alec's boys, John (m. Glenys), the late Ross (m. Phyllis), Ian (m. Glenys), Colin (m.Kim); Aunt of Marjorie's boys, Stewart (m. Betty), Malcolm , Ian (m. Judy), Alister (m. Marilyn), Murray; aunt of Douglas' daughter Margie (m. Paul Harris); Aunt of Jack's son Bill (m.Jan); Aunt of Ann's children, Bernie and Ron; Marie and Kathy (m. Greg); Aunt of Gordon's children, the late Gordon Jnr, Jillian (m.Ivan), Jim (m.Diane), Donald (m. Anna); "Nan" to all her grand neices and grand nephews.

A celebration of Nan's life will be held in Hope & Sons Chapel, Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 12noon on Saturday 19 January 2008 followed by a luncheon, drinks, reminiscences and laughter at Barnett Lodge, 34 Alva St Dunedin.

Nan's funeral service will take place in Dunedin this Saturday. Many people have expressed a wish for a service in Wellington to celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman. There will thus be a further memorial service for Nan at Wellington High School Hall, Taranaki St. , Wellington on Saturday 26 January at 2pm.

Former pupils and friends and anybody else interested are invited to attend.
