On April 1, 2008, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 78 years.

Loved husband of Dora (Christchurch), loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Tom and Marge Grimshaw, Joan and the late Bob Malcolm, John and the late Betty Milne, Valda and the late Rob Reid, loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and friend to so many people.

A service will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 12 noon on Saturday April 5 followed by private cremation.
