On 4th February 2009, peacefully at Palliser Lifecare, Greytown. Aged 83 years.

Loved and loving husband of Pamela and the late Helen. Loved father and father-in-law of Roderick (deceased) and Masako (Auckland), Rowan and Angie (Featherston), Jamie and Nicky (Melbourne). Dearly loved Grandfather of Ashley, and Daniella; Salli, and Kelli, Noah, and Leah.

A service for John will be held in the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Rd, Albany, Auckland on Monday 9 February 2009 at 3.00pm followed by private cremation.
