On May 5, 2009 suddenly at Dunedin Hospital: in her 77th year.

Treasured wife of the late Doug, Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Gail and Rex Cunningham (Hamilton), and the late Stewart, and friend of Shona (Australia). Dearly loved grandma of Ryan Cunningham (Christchurch), Nick (Dunedin), Billie, and Tony Hall (Christchurch).

"A courageous battler, now free of pain".

A service for Melba will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 11.00am on Friday May 8, followed by private cremation.
