On 30th July 2005 at 2.30 p.m., passed away at his home, Greytown, Wairarapa, surrounded by his loving whanau.
Loved son of the late Takana (Duncan) & Ruiha Hemi. Beloved husband & hon of Anne.
Loving Father of Roberta Teropiha Hemi, Hemi Pakia Rangiwhetu, Tuhirangi Nick Hemi, Moana Wharemata, Nehi Nancy Hemi, Andrew Gaoa, Thomas & Sharon Cassidy. Treasured Koro of, Tyrone, Rocky, Jahliah, Etosha (d), Andrew, Micheal, Chris, Rheko, Cheyenne, Nehi, Liana, Taylor, Olivia, Eruera, Ivan, Carron, Tayler, Leah, Maia, Andre & Shona, Shirley-Anne & Anika. Great Grandfather of Tayla (Whanau).

James (Jim) is lying at the Papawai Marae, Greytown, Wairarapa where his Tangihanga will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) 2nd August 2005. Funeral service at 11am, followed by the burial at Te Uru O Tane Urupa (Black Bridge) then back to Papawai Marae.
