PARKER, Solf. Of Carterton. On 27 April 2005, peacefully surrounded by his family. Aged 66 years. Son of Faasavalu Solf (dec) and Mavaega Matafeo. Loved husband of Patricia. Dearly beloved father and father-in-law of Fiu Taligi and Pele, Kenzie and Joe Ah-him, Rose and Rodney Hall, Richard (Risati), Pesetà Liz and Tupuola Va’a Potoi, Victor and Maki, Margaret and Pile Falealili, Tina and Peter Abernethy, Solf, Vendry, Joseph (adopted nephew) and Stacey, Audrey, Nina, Julia, and Moses. Treasured grandad of his 37 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Loved brother of Byron (dec), Solf Joseph (USA), Maybel (dec), Isabella Parker-Smith (dec), Richard, Valentine (dec), Victor (dec), Elizabeth Parker-Meiklejohn, Faasavalu David, Peseta John (dec), Matilda Parker-Va’ai. Loved and respected by his extended family. A special thanks to the doctors and staff of Masterton Hospital and Palliser Home & Hospital and St John Ambulance staff for their kindness and care.
A family service will be held in St David’s Union Church, High Street south, Carterton this evening (Friday) at 6.30 pm (all welcome). A service of celebration for Solf’s life will be held in St David’s Union Church tomorrow (Saturday) 30 April 2005 at 11.00 a.m. followed by burial at the Clareville Lawn Cemetery
