Maich, Maikol George peacefully at home on Friday 28th October 2005.
He went with the love of his family, after giving it his best shot. Most dearly beloved husband, best friend and soulmate of Clare. Much loved and very proud dad of all his boys - Alun, Anton, Martin, Ivan and Luke.

Loved eldest son of Myrtle and the late Mate Maich. Loved son-in-law of Margaret and the late Phil Wadsworth. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ivan and Jane (Coromandel), Mathew and Helen, Fay & Bernie, Denis & Natalia (Auckland) and Jude & Mike. Loved uncle of all his nephews and nieces. Friend to Shannon and Kat, and adored master of Jackie.

Our thanks to Dr. Ann O'Donnell and her team; the staff at the Wellington Cancer Centre, and Ward 1 at Wellington Public Hospital for giving Maikol the precious gift of time. Thanks to the Wellington Cancer Society for their huge range of resources, not least the great lunches and much appreciated car-parking. Lastly, our thanks to the staff of Te Omanga Hospice for their compassionate care of Maikol and our family.

No flowers please. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society of New Zealand, 52 Riddiford St, Wellington and Te Omanga Hospice, P O Box 30-814, Lower Hutt would be appreciated. A donation box will be provided at the service.

Messages to 'The Maich Family' can be posted in the tribute book on this page or sent to c/- P O Box 44-176, Lower Hutt.
