Passed away peacefully on 1st July at Mary Potter Hospice, aged 82.

Dearly loved best friend of Mave for 54 years. Adored dad and father-in-law of Grant & Michele, Linda & Paul, and a very special poppa to Lauren, Michael, Lisa and Nicole.

A friend to everyone, his outlook and inspiring optimism touched so many. We were privileged to have him in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Malaghan Institute for continuing research into cures for cancer.

A service for George will be held at St George's Church, Ferry Street, Seatoun on Friday 5th July at 2pm, thereafter private cremation.
