MORLEY, Iris Joan - Joannie - (Born 26 May 1920)

Only child of the late Kate and Tom Brosnahan. On Thursday, 15th June 2006 at the Mary Potter Hospice after a long, courageous battle patiently fought against cancer Joan died peacefully, surrounded by her loving devoted family.

Beloved, treasured, wife and life-long companion of the late Bill. Loving, cherished and fondly loved mother and friend of Michael and Bronwyn, Kerry and Sue, Suzanne and Gregory Whitten, Christopher and Becky, Jeremy and Jo and Arabella. Caring, proud, doting and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and their partners - Nicola and Ian, Natasha and James, Vanessa and John, Gareth and Shirley, Damian and Anne, Miriam and Andrew, Thomas, Stephanie, Madeleine, Jessica, Phoebe, Talor, Sarah and Luke. Adoring and indulgent Great-grandmother of Louisa, Abigail, Sarah, James, Isabel and Sophie.

A lady for whom family was all.

The family wishes to thank The Mary Potter Hospice and the Wellington Hospital Cancer Centre for the tender loving care and compassion shown to Joannie throughout her long illness. They would also like to thank her long time caregivers and companions Elaine and Bev.

No flowers, instead the family would appreciate donations to The Mary Potter Hospice which may be sent to P O Box 7442 or alternatively may be placed in the box at the Rosary or the Mass.

Joannie's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Thomas More Church, Worcester Street, Wilton on Wednesday Jubne 21 2006 at 11:30 am thereafter interment at Makara Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the St Patrick's College Chapel, Evans Bay Parade, Kilbirnie on Tuesday June 20 and 7:00 pm.
