Passed away peacefully at Lansdowne Park Rest Home, Masterton on 27 September 2013, aged 86 years.

Dearly loved and loving husband of Mary, and sadly missed father and father-in-law of daughter Virginia and Graham (Brisbane) and son David and Marilyn (Wellington). Much loved by grandchildren Trent, Sarah (Brisbane), Kirsty (Sydney), and Tim and Marta (Scotland), and great-grandchildren Olek, Karol and the late Caitlin (Scotland).

A funeral to celebrate John's remarkable life will be held at Rosewood, 415 Queen Street, Masterton on Thursday 3 October at 2.00pm followed by private cremation.

The family wish to express their grateful thanks to all the staff at Lansdowne Park for their dedicated care and kindness to John over the last year.
