– Loved member of the Assumptionist Fathers Community. Past Principal of Viard College and past Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Tawa.

Peacefully at Wellington Regional Hospital on Friday 7th March 2014, aged 83 years.

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Andre and Els (Nijmegen, NL) and the late Jan, Lien and Miep; cherished uncle to his nephews and niece in The Netherlands and to his relations in Auckland. Fr Chris will be sadly missed by his Parish Community and many friends.

A Vigil for Father Chris will be held in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 169 Main Rd, Tawa on Monday 10th March at 7:00pm. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the same church on Tuesday 11th March at 11:00am. Thereafter interment at Whenua Tapu Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Bethlehem University would be appreciated and can be left at the Mass.
