Geris, John James. On Tuesday 26th January 2016, peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice, aged 78 years.

Adored husband of Eleni and much loved son of the late Jim and Pelagia Geris. Beloved father and father-in-law of Jim, George and Barbara. Cherished Papou of Ella, Sophia, Jay and Luca. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Mercine and the late Jim Zaloumis, George and the late Pam Geris, Nitsa and John Meads, Joan and Theo Papouis and Crysa and Daymon Damianou (Cyprus). Beloved uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Our sincere thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice and Dr Aine McCoy for their care of John. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greek Orthodox Church and Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

John's service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, "O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth giver of God), 3 Hania Street, Mt Victoria, Wellington on Friday 29th January 2016 at 11:00am, followed by burial at Makara Cemetery.
