On 24th October 2006 peacefully at home. In his 80th year.

Dearly loved husband of Ann. Loved father and father-in-law of Joh and John (Marton), Trish and Ian (Upper Hutt), Henry and Robyn (Charleville, Australia).
Much loved Opa to Maree and Brian, Cathy, Michael and Lisa, Opa’s special little man William; Daryl (deceased), Leanne and A.J., Rohan and Stephanie. Loved great Opa of Laurie, Talia, and Finley. Loved eldest brother of 15 and a loved brother-in-law, “Ome Jaap”, and good friend to many.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Te Omanga Hospice, P.O. Box 30814, Lower Hutt would be appreciated and may be left in the church foyer.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Jaap’s life, will be celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 376 Fergusson Drive, Heretaunga, Upper Hutt on Friday 27th October 2006 at 2.00 p.m. followed by private cremation.

Rosary will be recited in the church on Thursday evening (26th October 2006) at 7.00p.m.
