URIARO, Matamaru (Mata)

On June 10, 2016, peacefully at Oxford Court Rest Home, with family at her side; aged 75 years.

Dearly loved wife of the late Moe, loved mother and mother-in-law of Tere (Terry) and the late Enoka Taana, Appui and Tarita Dean, Mene, Nooroa and Tony Nemeth, Nuku and Steve Te Raki, May and Mark Geekie,and Moe (Jnr) and Terii, dearly loved Mama and Vouvou of her 20 Grandchildren, and 20 Great-grandchildren, dearly loved sister of the late Nooana, dearly loved sister-in-law, and loved aunty, great-aunty, and great-great-aunty of all her nieces and nephews.

A loved and respected elder of First Church and the Cook Island community.

Mata is resting at Tere’s home.

A service will be held in the First Church of Otago, Moray Place at 11.00am on Thursday June16, followed by burial at Green Park Cemetery.
