LINNEY (formerly Copland), Rosalie Lorna

Passed away peacefully at Rita Angus Hospital, Wellington, on Friday 6 October 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimers and Parkinson's disease, aged 83.

Dearly loved and already missed by her children and their partners, Joanne and Martin, John and Jodie, Sandra and Neil, and Adrienne, and her grandchildren Georgia, Jack, Sarah, Harrison, Angus and Mackay.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, and we all feel blessed to have had her in our lives.

Rosalie, originally from Clinton, South Otago, was a long term resident of the Eastern Suburbs and a retired, local, primary school teacher. She was involved with many local community groups including, Hataitai School, All Saints Church, The Citizens Advice Bureau, The Samaritans and the Hataitai Community House.

Sincere thanks to all the staff and residents at Rita Angus Retirement Village for their love, friendship and care of Rosalie in her later years. Also, special thanks to Sue for her dedicated care and companionship to Rosalie during that time.

Donations to Alzheimers New Zealand in lieu of flowers may be left at the Service. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rosalie's life at a service to be held at The Cockburn Street Chapel (corner Cockburn Street, Kilbirnie) at 2.00 pm, Friday 13 October, followed by a private cremation.
