Beban Flight Lieutenant George Thomas MBE – George died suddenly on 31st August 1956 in Suva, Fiji, aged 40 years.

A dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His family are delighted that he is being repatriated under the Te Auraki Repatriation Project.

The family wish to thank the NZ Government for initiating Te Auraki, and in particular Group Captain Carl Nixon and the Te Auraki team of NZ Defence Force for their care and their professionalism.

A family service to welcome George home will be held at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Elizabeth Street, Waikanae on Wednesday May 9th 2018 at 11:00am followed by interment at the Waikanae Services Cemetery.
