PORTLAND, Ruth Margaret (nee Merrifield)

It is with deep sadness the family advises of Ruth’s sudden death at home on 3rd July 2018. Ruth was a treasured and loving mother and mother-in-law of Timothy & Sarah and Philip. Ruth was a much loved nana of Frances and Madison. Ruth will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Nurse Ruth was a loved and respected member of the Whanganui community. Messages to the Portland family may be left on this page. In lieu of flowers donations to St Vincent de Paul PO Box 10-815, Freepost 992, Wellington Central 6011would be appreciated or left at the service. Requiem Mass for Ruth will be held at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 60 Knights Rd, Lower Hutt on Friday 13 July at 12.00pm followed by private cremation. The Vigil will be held at the above church on Thursday 12 July, at 7.00pm.
