Peacefully at Wellington Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

Devoted husband of Renee. Loving father & father in law of Brenda & Steve, Kieran & Pauline, Michael & Eunmi, Eamonn, and Simon. Much loved Poppa of Sian, Grace, Sophie and Ruairi.

Beloved brother & brother in law of Mary and George Broderick (dec'd), Frank & Nell, Paul & Kerry (dec'd), Gerard, Clare & Jim Canning, Anne, John & Barbara, Monica (dec'd), Pat and Prue.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Home of Compassion would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Grateful thanks to the staff of Aotea Hospital, Johnsonville and Ward 16 Wellington Hospital for their care and support.

A Requiem Mass for Bernie will be celebrated at St Teresa's Church, 301 Karori Road, Karori on Wednesday April 4, 2007 at 11:00am, thereafter private cremation.

The rosary will be recited at St Teresa's on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm.
