BOOMERT, Johannes (John)

Of Featherston and formerly of Wellington. Born in the Netherlands 30 April 1926. Passed peacefully at Arbor House in Greytown on 8 July 2019 in his 94th year.

Beloved husband of the late Maeve, loved by his children and their partners, Joanne, Grace and Stephen, Steve and Jennie, Laurence, Paul and Gosia, and David.

A treasured Opa to Ben, Paul, Emma, Monique, Sarah, Maddison, Skyla, Cherry, Chrystal, and Jasper. Precious great Grandpa to Reuben, Ethan, Joel, Harriet, Ella and Harrison.

Rest in peace.

A commemoration service for John will be held in St Teresa’s Catholic Church, Bell Street, Featherston on Friday 9th August 2019 at 11.30am followed by a burial at Featherston Cemetery.

All are welcome to celebrate his very full and fruitful life. Our heartfelt thanks to the Arbor House staff for their loving care.
