WELSH, Joy (nee Osborne) Of Masterton.
On 19th November 2019 peacefully at Glenwood Hospital, Masterton in the presence of family. In her 99th year.
Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Jim (they were married for 62 years).
Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Margaret and Ken Sage and the late Stuart Meyrick (Greytown), John and Joy (Greytown), Heather and Neil McWhannell (Sydney).
Loved and treasured Grandma of Stephen and Sarah, Karen and Nigel, Joanne and Scott; Peter and Lisa, Rachel, Brian; Andrew and Kirstie, Emma and James and a much loved and proud great Grandma and great great Grandma.
Loved sister and sister-in-law of Albie and Sylvia Osborne, Warren (deceased) and Sue Osborne, and the late Alice and Nelson Herrick, and Lew Osborne and a loved Auntie of all her nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Joy’s life will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Road, Carterton on Tuesday 26th November 2019 at 10.30am, followed by private cremation.

Margaret and Ken, John and Joy, Heather and Neil and their families wish to express their heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who supported them during Joy’s recent illness and at the time of her passing.
The lovely personal messages of sympathy, cards, letters, flowers, food, phone calls, visits, tributes, and the presence of so many at the service has been a great comfort and will always be remembered.
A special thanks to Rev Maggie Smith for her gentle guidance; to Dr Tony Becker and the wonderful staff at Glenwood for their kind care; and to the Masonic Village friends for their friendship and support to Joy over the years. We are comforted in the knowledge that Joy touched the lives of so many wonderful people.
