MYHRE Jacob Rei -

It is with a heavy heart that Jacob’s wife, Scarlett, and parents, Mary-Anne Crompton and Steve Myhre, farewell our beloved Jacob Rei Myhre, who passed away from cancer on 4 August 2021 at the age of 32.

Jacob, of Te Ati Awa and Taranaki iwi, was living in Switzerland with his wife and has made the long journey back to his home land Aotearoa.

Due to the covid19 alert level restrictions, we will be holding an invite-only nehunga (burial) for Jacob at Ôpau Urupâ in Makara on Friday 17 September 2021 at 11am.

A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held on Friday 26 November 2021 along with an early hura kôhatu (unveiling). Everyone will be welcome to join, subject to covid19 alert levels. Details will be provided closer to the date.

In lieu of flowers, the family have asked for donations to be made to the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research. https://donate.malaghan.org.nz/
