Caroline Lucy Theodora Parlane (Davis)

Our most lovely and precious Caroline died on Monday 15 November at Mary Potter Hospice, where she received the warmest and most wonderful care. She was so much loved by so many. Being the thoroughly organised person that she was, Caroline wrote the following for this occasion:

“A life of great joy, lived with happiness, fun, and gusto - even alongside the last thirteen years of cancer treatments. I have had the great privilege of loving treasured family including my brother Robert (Bobby), the greatest most precious friends, and magic godchildren. And the shining beacon of light in my life has been the love of, and my love for, my husband of forty plus years - Paul. The greatest decision of my life. I am the luckiest.”

A memorial service for Caroline will be held at Old Saint Paul’s, Mulgrave Street, Thorndon, Wellington on Wednesday 24 November at 1:00pm.
