ANTHOPOULOS, Sophia - On Tuesday, 18 January 2022, passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital, aged 85 years.

Beloved wife of the late Ioannis (John). Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Kosta and Senada, Thena and Andrew. Much adored Yiayia of Anastasia and Georgia.

Loved by family in Australia, USA and Greece.

"At rest now, will always be remembered".

In lieu of flowers donations to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Sophia’s funeral will be open to vaccinated people only and certificates must be shown upon arrival at the venue. If you wish to attend, please register via the link above, where you can also leave a message for the family.

Sophia’s funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, "O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth giver of God), Hania St, Mt Victoria on Friday 21 January 2022 at 11am, thereafter burial at Makara Cemetery.

You are welcome to pay your respects at Thena and Andrew’s house on Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm
