Patrick Hartley Rainsford - At Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington, on 31 January 2022, after a long illness which he fought with great courage and strength.

Much loved son of Hartley and Joy Rainsford and brother of John, Christine, Linda, Aindriu, Mark, and Julia and uncle to their children. Deeply loved best friend of Shelley Nixon, much loved and respected stepfather of Mateo and Josie, and Grand-Paddy to Makaira and Mâia.

Great friend to many, especially Catherine Marks who has been such a wonderful support.

From hauling dustbins up Baldwin Street to success at the Privy Council.

Patrick’s funeral service will be held at Old Saint Paul’s, Mulgrave Street, Thorndon, Wellington on Wednesday 9th February at 11am, thereafter interment at Whenua Tapu Cemetery.
Patrick's funeral is open to vaccinated people only and vaccine passes must be shown upon arrival. Numbers able to attend are limited to 100 and you will need to ‘Register to Attend’ this funeral via the blue Register button at the bottom of this notice.
