Patel, Jhinabhai Bhagabhai (Jiten) – (from Pipalghaban, India) Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, the 16th of May 2022, aged 69 years.

Dearly loved husband of Bharati, father of Radhika, Darshan and Shivam, father in law of Natasha and Bhaskar and grandfather of Nishant, brother in law to Asha and Nelish, and son in law to Dayal Govan. 

Messages and tributes may be placed in Jiten’s tribute book on this page. In memory of Jiten, any donations made towards Wellington Free Ambulance would be most appreciated. 

There will be a small funeral by invitation only. The family would then like to invite family and friends to come to his residence to pay their respects on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May, between 3pm and 7pm.

Patel, Jhinabhai Bhagabhai (Jiten) – Recently retired from managing Oriental Bay Store, where he served the community for the past 30 years. He genuinely cared about all people that crossed his path and always had time to have a yarn with his customers and was a Wellington icon well known for his scoops of ice cream and his infectious smile. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
