KANELLIS, Father George

It is with great sorrow that we share this message from our Holy Metropolis about the passing of our dearly beloved Father George Kanellis on 1 July 2023.

Father George's funeral will take place at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral “O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth giver of God), 3 Hania Street, Mount Victoria on Thursday 6th July at 11:00am. Overflow seating and a live video link are available at The Street Church, 9 Hania Street.

Father George will then be repatriated to Sydney, Australia.

Messages to ‘the Kanellis family’ may be left in Fr George’s tribute book above or posted c/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral may be left at the service.

You are welcome to pay your respects at the family home on Tuesday between 11am-2pm or 5pm-8pm.
