Fitzgerald, Paula Lyndsay 17/12/1968 – 03/07/2023

A sister, aunty, great aunty, amazing friend, colleague, and mentor. Dearly loved sister and sister and law of Marie and Barry Kite and Chris & Tina Fitzgerald. Loved step sister of Chris and Janie and David (Slim) and Joy Ward. Dearly loved aunty of Kylie, Nicole, Jesse, Tyler-Brooke, Zane, David, Sean, Josie, Johnnie Natalie and the late Karl, and great aunty of Quinn. Beloved daughter of the late Joy and Don Ward and the late Lindsay Fitzgerald.

Paula was one in a million who always gave her whole self and heart freely, with compassion and, kindness. We have all been truly blessed and privileged to have known this mighty, truly magnificent woman who touched all of our hearts and lives through her wisdom, friendship and mentorship; for which we are all the better because of her, and blessed for the privilege of knowing her and sharing our lives with her.

Paula passed peacefully at 5:29am on Monday 3 July 2023 surrounded by immense love, and beautifully supported by loving family, friends, colleagues and Hospice.

A funeral service for Paula will be held in Wainuiomata Rugby Club, 2 Moohan Street, Wainuiomata on Friday, 7 July 2023 at 1.00pm.
