QUENTIN-BAXTER, Dame Alison Burns DNZM QSO - passed away peacefully at home on 30 September 2023, aged 93 years.

A distinguished public and international lawyer, Dame Alison contributed greatly to the field of constitutional law in New Zealand and overseas.

Alison was adored wife of the late Quentin, cherished daughter of the late Bill and Barbara Souter, loved sister of the late Bob and sister-in-law of Heather, Helen and Jonathan, and the late Kim, Graeme (Beau) and Gillian. She was a dear Aunt to Robbie, Tanya, Rochelle, Jane, Megan, Sara and Guy, and the late Vicki and Mark.

Dame Alison will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Lorna and Trish for their loving care of Alison in recent months.

A funeral service will be held at Old Saint Paul’s, Mulgrave Street, Wellington on Monday 9th October at 1.00pm, followed by private cremation.
