SMITH, Bruce Allan Heather and family extend their sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shown kindness to them in so many ways in the sad loss of Bruce. The cards, letters, phone calls and sympathy extended to us are much appreciated. We wish to specially thank all those who attended the service and placed personal online tributes.

Passed peacefully aged 84, on 3 February, with family at his side.
Loved and loving husband to Heather for almost 56 years; father and father-in-law to Catherine and Ivor, David and Leo, Ingrid and Jason, Helen, Marlon. Proud Poppa of Sam, James, Izzy, Kenzo, Jesse, Sacha, Erika and Amelia. Brother to Margaret, Pauline (dec), Judith (dec), Audrey (dec). Uncle and great-uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Friend to many.
Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lyndale Manor and, latterly, Lansdowne Court, for their warmth and compassion during Bruce’s time in their care.
Bruce will be at home from Tuesday 6 February should you wish to pay your respects.
His service will be held at St Marks Anglican Church , Carterton on Thursday 8 February at 1.00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Alzheimers NZ would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
