Taulelei, Tiatia Iosia on 26th June, aged 90.



It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our remarkable father, who was not only a man of unwavering faith but also a pillar of strength for his wider family and the Wesley Methodist Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Samoa. Throughout his remarkable journey of over 70 years here, he dedicated himself to serving others with selflessness and compassion. 



Tiatia Iosia’s commitment to his family and the Wesley Methodist church was unparalleled. As a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, he nurtured a bond of love and unity that will forever be cherished. His five sons, twelve  grandchildren, four daughter-in-laws and close family members were a constant source of support and comfort during his battle with cancer, standing by his side with unwavering devotion and love.



His leadership within the Wesley Methodist Church was exemplary. He sacrificed his time, energy, and resources to ensure that others would benefit from his wisdom and guidance. His impact on the lives he touched through his service cannot be overstated. Tiatia Iosia inspired others to follow in his footsteps, leaving an indelible mark on the church community.



As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life he led and the profound legacy he leaves behind. His sacrifice, dedication, and unwavering faith serve as an inspiration to us all. Though his physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.



In loving memory of a respected leader, a devoted husband, a cherished father, a beloved grandfather and uncle to so many, may his soul rest in eternal peace. His legacy will forever shine brightly as a beacon of love, generosity, and selflessness.

Tiatia Iosia will be lying in state from Friday June 28 to Wednesday July 3 at 6 Wellington Road, Hataitai, Wellington.



Tiatia Iosia’s service will be held at Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, Wellington on Thursday July 4 from 10:00am.
