Courage, unbelievable strength and love are how Pia lived her life. She never chose a path because it was easy and would fight with tooth and nail if it could provide a better life for her beloved children, pets, friends, or any animal in need.
Pia was a mother through and through. With her work in early childcare and endless commitment to the children around her,

Tasha and I were lucky but not rare in receiving mums love, inspiration and nurture in the shaping of our lives. This is a bond, known or unknown, that my sister and I share with many other little brothers and sisters out there.

To the bravest woman we have ever known. To the most caring mother we could have wished for.
An inspiration in how to truly live a life, and how to face death when our time comes with bravery and grace. Her influence on all who were close to her will be everlasting.
She loved with her whole heart and soul.
We will love and remember you forever, mum.

It was Pia's wishes to not have a public, in-person funeral. Instead, she wanted an online memorial page set up where her close friends and family from all around the world can share photos and memories of the times shared with her.

We also would like everyone to take solace in knowing her passing was pain free and peaceful.. She took immense satisfaction in knowing that her cancer didn’t kill her - rather it would be her to kill the cancer instead.
