WRIGHT Raymond Robert JP, QSM

Raymond passed away peacefully at Kenepuru Hospital on 1 September 2024, aged 97 years old after a short illness.

After a lifetime of service to his country, as a soldier and a public servant, he spent his retirement years serving the community as a JP and a Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty), daughter Catherine, and son in law Roger.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to Wellington Free Ambulance staff, as well as the nurses and doctors who cared for him in his final week.

A service to celebrate the life of Ray will be held at St Johns Anglican Church, 18 Bassett Road, Johnsonville on Monday 16 September at 2:00 pm, thereafter private cremation.
