ANDREA, Katina. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katina on the 19th February 2025. She passed peacefully surrounded by her beloved family, at the age of 87.



She was the treasured wife of Chrysostomos Andrea for 58 wonderful years and a cherished mother and mother-in-law to Androula & Mario, Koula & Stefan, and Eleni & Emmanuel.



Katina was an adored Yiayia to her grandchildren: Shaun & Jess, Tommy & Kaitlin, Katrina & Alex, Erene & Nicko, Mihaly & Samantha, Christina, Ilias and Nicolis.



She was a loving sister and sister-in-law to Haralambos (late) & Meni, Andrea & Eleni, Nikolas & Chloe, Fotini (late) & Procopi, Spiro & Loulla, Mirafora & Andrea, Panayoti & Andrikou, Simo & Androulla, Anna & Maki (late), Nikola & Alexandra, Mihali, Parasko, Dimitra (late) & Yiorgos (late), Toli & Tassoula and their families.



Katina was a beloved Sembethera, Thea, and cousin to a very large extended family and a cherished friend to many.



The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice, Access, Wellington Free Ambulance and Wellington Hospital for their wonderful care and support of Katina.



In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greek Orthodox Church, Mary Potter Hospice and Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Katina’s funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church "O Evangelismos tis Theotokou", Hania Street, Mt Victoria on Tuesday, 25th February at 10am, thereafter burial at Makara cemetery.



She was an angel walking among us. May she rest in love and peace.
