On 2 March 2025 aged 84, peacefully at Arohanui Hospice with her family at her side.

Dearly loved Mum of Kerry and Debbie, loved mother-in-law of Lynell and Chris. Wife of Donald Ellis (Dec) and partner of Ian Laing (Dec). Sister of Teddy (Dec), Vernon (Dec) & Kevin (Dec).
Loved grandma of Beven, Nikki, Brian, Jade, and Daniel. Great grandma of Jamie, Michaela, Jacob, Indie, Lockie, Ethan, Jordan, Marshall, Rueben, Koal (Dec) and Elizabeth.

A Service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at the Otaki RSA on Friday 7th March at 11am followed by refreshments at the Otaki Bowling Club.
